The book this time was titled Nine Horrors and a Dream, a very slender paperback containing, not too surprisingly, 10 stories. Once again I turned to the experts to find out more. Our buddy Douglas Draa talks in detail about the book on his blog, Uncle Doug’s Bunker of Horror. Joseph Payne Brennan was an American writer of fantasy and horror fiction, and also a poet. Brennan's first professional sale came in December with the publication of the poem, "When Snow Is Hung", which appeared in the Christian Science Monitor Home Forum, and he continued writing poetry up until the time of his death/5(1). Each dream is dispatched to give healing or guidance on a specific topic but through free will the message of the dream can be rejected. Your subconscious mind has great influence here and frequently projects your fears into the dream which distorts the nature of the characters and turns what would have been an ordinary dream into a nightmare.
